Sharp Scheduler is a world-class schedule module. It is incredible how reliable, usable and flexible it is. We keep finding new uses for it to automate maintenance and other tasks. The ability to trigger a job via a URL makes it great for easy-to-build, one-click functions (e.g. to turn off or on access to a portion of our website). The developer, Bogdan, is great to work with and open to extending the product.
This is one of the most useful modules we have ever purchased. It has allowed us to quickly and easily produce scheduled integrations with 3rd party systems. We are users of MyTokens and Redirect toolkit as well(from DNNSharp) and put together these products offer a powerful set of tools that are now indispensable for us. The support team has been great in getting up and running quickly.
Great Module! Great Support! I have always enjoyed all DNN Sharp modules as they are really handy and useful. Recently, I decided to buy their new Sharp Scheduler to automate my tasks as I have many installations to manage. It is much better than I ever expected. I am totally satisfied and I would like to recommend this module to everybody.
DNNSharp released their new scheduler. This is something I have been “seriously” needing and was hugely excited when it came online. First let me tell you some of the problems we have been dealing with. We have developed a MLM management system using DNN. A huge part of our system sits in Sprocs that depend on scheduled execution. 1. We have been using SQL Server Agent and it is not reliable. It stops running for no apparent reason and you don’t find out until you look. If this is what you are using to run your SQL jobs it can be really frustrating. 2. A number of the DNN module processes run on schedules that don’t fit our requirements. 3. We have a number of SSIS packages that need to be triggered 4. The DNN scheduler requires coding to get it to do anything 5. It integrated with nothing
So what are we doing with this cool module? 1. We have a pile of Stored Procedures that do stuff on the DB. We are now using the DNNSharp scheduler and it just works! 2. Using PowerShell scripts we are running SSIS package that import data from csv files, update statuses and assign roles according to db rules. 3. We have updated a number of our DNN schedules to run in more desirable schedules 4. DNNSharp Schedule works with MyTokens (If you have not done so already take a look at MyTokens. It will blow your @#$% mind!)
Conclusion It is rock solid and it is so easy to use. It integrated with MyTokens Bogdan’s service is unequaled… UNEQUALED! For experience, I know this is just the start of what DNNSharp will offer with this module. I give this module 10 Stars and that is conservative.
