Great product, support NOT so great. I have 3 licenses, only one is working. Trouble with getting working keys in a timely manner.
I would recommend the product, can't say that support gets the same thumbs up.

Good feature set, but I found it to be buggy in my opinion. So buggy that I could not even get the license I purchased to be registered correctly and when the trial expired, I was left hanging. Customer support wanted to blame it on my DNN install even though there were no errors in the event viewer log. They were not responsive to my needs at all, to the point where I eventually had to install a competitor’s module, and had to eat the cost. Also I feel their upgrade policy leaves a lot to be desired as they do not even provide minor updates after 3 months.

Great stable product with extensive options and frequent updates. I found the support for this product to be excellent. In my experience, the Smith Consulting staff has been very helpful, friendly and understanding.

Great piece of software. The best part though is the customer service. I had a very unique set of requests for a dnn site that were all met promptly and effectively. I definitely recommend this product, for both the quality, and again, stellar customer service.

Got tired of trying to get support prior to them implementing their paid support plans. At this time, they refeuse to support us, and even acknowelege any problem. According to the documentation, the module supports a category lookup based on the query string. This is not the case...it never worked from day one. Don't waste your money.

The module itself is very nice. Smith Consulting did a great job with this ecom solution as it flexible and offers more functionality than you could imagine for the price. I would have given this module a 5 rating if the support sytem was better - forum based support tends to be a pain when you have to search through forum topics to find a solution. I am more interested in solutions and answers from the developer, not other customers. Opening a support ticket does nothing but send you to the public forum. Again, very good module that is well worth the money as long as you are comfortable with public forum based support.

Smith support is lacking at best. They were unable or unwilling to return e-mails and phone calls. I would NOT recommend this product.

We offer free support in the forums which are monitored Monday through Friday, 9am to 6pm PST. You should receive a reply within 1-2 business days (our goal is 1 business day).

Hands down the best DNN eCommerce plugin you can get. Amazing feature set and very expandable. Can be used for both large and small stores and is very easy to get started with. The staff at Smith Consulting is great and very easy to work with. Look forward to new releases as they become available. Thanks!

I'm very surprised most people don't give this at least 4 stars. Based on my experience with other shopping carts I have to give this one 5 stars. I've tried just about every other DNN cart available, and none compare to Smith cart based on ease of use and friendly support. The navigation is definitely the easiest, the product configurations including variants and photo options are soooo much smoother than any other cart I've tried, and whenever I need a little help, these guys have always been good to respond and offer awesome support.
I honestly think that nobody should be able to rate a cart until they've installed at least 10 of them. No cart is easy to a newcomer, but this one definitely is the best! Thanks for all the help!

module didn't work, they couldn't fix it so they told us to give money back. Unfortunately, no response anymore and they deleted the forum thread! This is no definitely not a serious business. Lost money and a lot of time.

it's a great mode, but impossible to install this with host godaddy and an web plan hosting deluxe: I've always an error excemption, timening uploading....issue error ...web.config...
with the support we can't resolte this issue.

Review is for v2.95. Extremely poor customer service. Extremely poor communication. For me, this is HUGE, especially after paying up front for additional service. The store itself is ok and there are many features. The mass product upload didn't work for me and the support for this was pathetic. You can't upload the variations for mass uploads. I requested service from this vendor, paid for the service, then only half of it was completed. It took them 3 months with me asking for updates about once a week. I have the email string for this pathetic service if you want proof. I tried to request a refund for the work that wasn't done but all they do is quote refund policies. They don't understand that I'm trying to get a refund for work that wasn't complete.

Very dissatisfied with the customer service. I spent weeks trying to get help and never could. The glossary does not work and there is a missing button image. I would not recommend this module. The module is just not what was promised.

Does not work as advertised - the Pro version is supposed to allow "Custom registration settings for configuring length of subscription, subscription interval and total occurrences", but apparently this does not work with PayPal. The support is absent, even if you can contact them. They told me to purchase their Shopping Cart product instead.

We just finished implementing the SmithCart and it was a smooth process. They have good documentation and their support was terrific. We had a few questions and their response was quick and, most importantly, accurate! These guys know what they're doing. The cart has tons of features and their knowledge of interfacing to credit card processors is extensive. I recommend this product and the company highly!!!

The reason I am updating my review is for support reasons. I submit all my support issues through snowcovered so that I can easily keep track of everything in one place. I recently submitted a support request and was told that I should have checked their forums first for the answer....OK, I agree, I should have checked the forums but they could have provided me the answer in the time it took them to respond and tell me I should have looked in the forum first and it's company policy to use the forums for support....I paid $300.00 for this module plus another $550.00 for customization that was already suppose to be a feature. I'm pretty sure I'm entitled to support even if I submit my request through snowcovered. It says righ on the module page for Smithcart "Technical Support - For technical support, just submit the request for assistance on the Help Desk, which is Snowcovered's help desk. I am disappointed at this point.

I've used many DNN carts in the past, even was victimized by the whole AliCommerce fiasco....from my experience SmithCart is hands down one of the easiest and most flexible carts to set-up. The check-out process is very user-friendly and all of my client's customers can get thru it with ease. Other carts charge a premium for real-time shipping look-up, multiple tab prod description, or rich campaign functionality, but with Smith cart these are standard features. Another key distinguishing feature is the SEO optimized product pages. This is key for getting your products at the top of the search engines by tagging them with key keywords. Highly recommend this module and any of the other products offered from Smith Consulting. I have used this module and their shopping cart on a handful of websites and it's by far the best online solution for registration and payment that I have seen.
Setup is really easy and smooth.
Also, their support has gone above and beyond for me in many instances to enhance and tweak the module. Great service, great support, and overall fantastic module.

Found many bugs. Timely to get bugs fixed, and as of this posting many exist. Their focus seems to be with continuously adding more options and features, rather than ensuring that their core functionality works as it should. I even had to pay additional money for a feature that was suppose to exist but did not at the time of purchase. I have since uninstalled this cart on both of my sites and had wasted away $400 as well as over 2 months trying to fix/resolve issues with the cart. Please be advised that the cart still has bugs as of this post and that if you want a feature or something to be fixed, be prepared to pay additional money. I am displeased with this cart and have moved on to a different cart to solve my need.
I give it a 2 star rating instead of one because the only good thing was that Dave was responsive most of the time for emails that I had sent him in regards to issues.

This customer did not purchase source code for the cart so the comment on quality of the source code is not true. There are no known bugs in the current version of the cart please download the trial version of the cart at smithcart.com so you test it out on your portal and see that it is a robust module.
The module has evolved considerably in 9 months from when I first purchased it. The developer has been very fast in responding to bug fixes. The module offers many new features that aren't even an option on other shopping modules. Overall this is a great simple and straight forward cart to use for sites ranging from average ones, to ones that need more advanced components. The new 'featured' items module that comes with it, mini-cart, improved download functionality, and new log-in screen are all big improvements.

After years of frustration with other DNN shopping carts, Smith-Cart is a breath of fresh air. This module is nicely integrated with DNN, quick to set up, user-friendly and flexible. Developer support and responsiveness have been first class. Keep up the good work!

Product works pretty well after a few fixes from Smith Consulting. Be aware that if you use Quickbooks Merchant Services, the charges on your account do NOT show the payer's name. It has address and last 4 of cc, but no name, making it a little difficult to match up charges.

The Smith Shopping Cart was exactly the product I was looking for for my business. It has the power and flexibility to handle small stores and well as large stores and has a nice variety of payment gateways to choose from. It's also nice to know that you have support when something goes wrong. If you are looking for a powerful shopping cart that is easy to configure and implement, then Smith Cart is for you.

Nice simple cart. I ran into some functionality problems in shipping and they stepped to the plate and debugged it as needed. Even gave phone consultation to get it done, which I rarely encounter. The cart now is filling the needs for a simple shopping cart that I needed. Thanks!

Limited functionality. Cannot distinguish between taxable and no taxable items, must give administrative access to entire portal, and other limitations. Vendor will offer to fix shortcomings, but at a cost.

Fantastic customer support. I had an issue because I installed a newer version over an old version. I contacted Mr Smith through the online support here and he responded in 5 minutes. I had the site back up and working in an hour.
The store module is very good. I have looked at about every store module here and have ordered 4 different ones. I found this one to be incredible simple to set up and maintain.

This module is simple and elegant! It works as described and does the job!
More importantly, the support I got from the developer, Dave Smith was prompt, efficient, and effective! He answered a number of questions personally the day after I bought the module and those answers made life easy!!
I highly recommend the product and the developer!!!
