I used this product way back in the day and it's a pretty decent product. One thing I'd like to see added in the future is for it to pull the Last Login Date and/or Last Activity Date so that it would could be used to delete users who haven't logged in since a specified date.

I purchased this module to transfer hundreds of user accounts from one portal to another. Several user accounts were on both sites and needed the profile information synced up. The profiles contained approximately 250 fields of data a piece. The module was easy to use and installed without any problems. The transfer and sync of the user profiles worked perfectly and saved me a great deal of time. This was worth every penny. Mark Luffred

When I began a site upgrade from Classic ASP to DNN I needed a tool to import users from the ASP site. At that time we were on DNN 5.6.1. Grabbed a copy of BUM v3.1, ran a couple of tests. All good then forgot about it until yesterday when it is time to take the new site live (now 5.6.3). Fired up BUM to be greeted with a message that 5.6.3 is not supported. Shot off a quick Help to Peter (BUM), said he would have a new version for 5.6.3 for me within 24 hrs. True to word v3.2 delivered less than 24hr. Great support. Thanks Peter.

Excellent module. Does as advertised. I found it easiest to export from SQL Server table to a csv file & import via .csv file (I personally didn't user XML). Just need to change headers of csv file to correspond to DNN fields like displayname, firstname, postalcode, etc. Can add new fields & roles to your heart's content. Though its obvious after the fact, the cocumentation should mention that when importing to existing DNN fields, the csv header columns much match exactly (ie firstname not first_name). The UI for the SQL queries could be a bit more flexible, perhaps allowing sql wildcards or more dropdown equality/comparison options. Bulk User Manager includes everything that User Import Export does, plus it includes the ability to bulk delete and update, which the DNN Admin==>User module doesn't. This allows you to import thousands of users with a particular field set or a unique role set, and then delete those thousands of users in one fell swoop via Bulk Mgr.

I have used this excellent module to manage the access to a website for Driving Instructors that are franchisees or our company. The generation of the file to perform the imports is really easy and the fact that I can assign different roles at import time is briliant. By far the best part is that after sales service has been brilliant, when you ask a question you get a prompt and helpful response.

The SPAM Stopper by PHDobson is a simple effective little module. It's fairly easy to install and configure, and does the job without any hassle. The only thing stopping me from giving it 5 stars is that I feel it would be even better if it was packaged as a DNN module and could be installed and configured without ANY web.config modifications. As it is though, it's about as simple as it could be, and is powerful.

This module is worth ten times the asking price. I had the hopeless task of re-creating - "cleaning up" a database of thousands of membership records from numerous disparate tables and importing these records into DNN -- assigning records/users to unique roles and custom profile properties. After spending several frustrating hours merging and joining tables using SQL tools, I stumbled upon this "gem of a module." Using the Member Number as a key, I was able to import all the critical records from numerous disparate tables into a new DNN portal. The additional functionality of the module to "spew out" detailed error messages after import -- allowed me to note and correct records as I went along. This module -- if used properly -- can really help you clean up a "messy" database. And, BOY did I have that job! Once I imported my records to DNN, this fabulous module allowed me to export my records to XML using values from profile fields - allowing me to check the imported data again

Good little module. I did have a problem with it though in that it gave an exception error before it finished my import and dumped me back to the main page with no indication on how far it got, leaving me to try and work out how far it got. I don't know if this was caused by the module timing out or my website. Apart from that problem it worked fine and was easy to understand and use. It certainly saved me a huge amount of time doing it manually and for $20 you can't go wrong.

Some features are not available. Would like to see the capability to Force Password Change upon login and also have the Registerd date as an export option. Otherwise this is probably one of the easiest modules to use.

Near perfect export/import at a great price. Wonderful solution for a potentially time consuming project. I looked around Snowcovered for a simple bulk import/export module. (Either I find one, or, I spend most of the day manually transferring users from 4.0.3 to 4.8.1.) This module did the job in just 10 mins, including installation time! (My only suggestion is that the wizard should warn about password issues before doing the upload, thus giving the user a chance to modify the XML document before uploading. Minor point though, the wizard did notify me clearly which users failed and why. I can edit the file and upload the ones that failed.)

Now this is a class-act product. It correctly handles CSV and XML files (producing valid XML output) and you don't have to be a developer yourself to get your data formatted correctly for import. It is quite a bargain as priced as well. I'd highly recommend this module for site admins with numerous user accounts.

Just FYI: I had one issue that was DNN related involving the length of passwords (DNN 4.4.1 has a default min length of 7, I was trying to import passwords of a shorter length). Contacted Peter via snowcovered and he spotted the issue and responded in a very timely manner.

I give this 5 stars simply becasue it can eaisly be used to import user data from one system such as a Human Resource. Then import and register the users in DNN. Also, allows updating information as an import option, this is a BIG plus. In our case we manange the clients data in ONE HR system and would be foolish to tell our users to go here and there just to update a phone number. Its all taken care of during the update - import. So now the user information is listed the same everywhere. The Gold Source of data is in one location but ths tool allows us to sync it to DNN - GREAT !

This module doesn't even install on DNN 3.x. What kind of developer sends out a PA that doesn't work? Don't buy this module. Spend your money on one that works. I paid $20 and it has been a complete waste.
