Although I am an application developer I am new to blogging, prone to think who would be interested in reading my musings(?). I like how the module works within the DNN framework and how many intrinsic modules are supported. Also, the documentation and summary videos ITCrossings provided on the use of the DNN Blog followed up by using Windows Live Writer to post blogs which uses metaPost as an interface to manage blogs, faq's, etc. was crystal clear. If you plan on posting content rich UI information I would highly recommend taking a look at metaPost!

Metapost is the best value module I have ever purchased. I used it to add content into every single Text/HTML module on my site and it generates great looking, ajax-driven content and does the job of 5 other modules (galleries/tabs/footnotes etc). It's really easy to setup and it's really easy to add content alot more complex then I would otherwise be capable of generating. SUPPORT: 100% the quickest & most friendly support I have received on snowcovered...I had an issue with a misplaced file from my installation that stopped tabs from working. Don had a reply to my query within an hour and then took great strides to get it working...even logging in to my DNN to find out what the problem was. The problem was fixed within 6 hours. The support here is something you would expect from software costing much more.

This module really should be in the top 10 or top 5. It gives us or our clients the ability to update any text module on a portal from word or live writer. This actually eliminated our need to use Xmod forms for a lot of client side updates, and saved tons of time because of it. On top of that, we were having the same connection pool problem, but with the quick webconfig tweak suggested, it has been flawless. IT crossing is one of the few developers you can actually call up on the phone and get quick answers, and turn around on our questions for the connection pool problem was just minutes. All in all, i wish these guys would develop all of the modules we use. THANKS!

Works like a charm! Saves me so much time while I am using VENTRIAN News article. He helped me get Windows Live Writer configured, because I was receiving an error at first, but it was not the module, it was my Windows Live Writer settings. Definitely recommend this product if you want to save time!

Absolutely the greatest return on investment for any DNN module I've used. Can't imagine how I survived without this for so long.

Why did I wait so long? That's what my editors said after showing them they could edit html/text with LiveWriter. This is a must have product and makes editing website content sooooo easy.

My only regret is to not have purchased that module earlier. It took me a while to be convince to buy this module as I could not really understand its value... Well it changed my publishing life!
I used to dread to go on the site and do my blogging duties or to go and change the content. Now with metaPost I enjoy it.
No more need to prepare pictures for publishing, now drag and drop will do. No more paste from Word with having to deal with all these parasite formatting instructions, now I write straight from Word, enjoying the spell checking, thesaurus and other goodies I am used to.
Support is great and responsive.
I strongly recommend this module to anyone interested in creating any serious web publishing.

If you have a DNN site with blogs, text-html, and some other vendor articles and content this is a must have.
First - The module itself add value to your site by allowing "posters" a slick and easy way to maintain their content using Windows Live Writer. Basically drag drop and format on your desktop then push the content to the portal - NICE.
Second - The module add an easy way to do picture expansion, tabs and format control.
I have a lot of modules, most are nothing but wishy washy knockoffs of DNN core modules. MetaPost is a very useful product and I Highly Recommend It.

metaPost Professional is an phenomenal product ( I didn’t look at the community version) . Although I think DNN is great, I’ve been very frustrated with entering/editing text online. I don’t like the FCK editor and CuteEditor gave me problems and didn’t add enough value to make it work. With metaPost, I’m as happy as can be. Although I can use MS Word to edit text, other people are right in that Windows Live Writer seems to be a better editing environment for the web.
The Open/Publish approach to editing content is very easy and works great. Adding pictures and files (with a free WLW plug-in) is unbelievably easy. For pictures, metaPost will automatically create a thumbnail and add a Web 2.0 style pop-up for a bigger picture. For the pictures and files, I don’t have to worry about how to get them on the website as metaPost/WLW takes care of everything. The products automatically upload the files to a directory structure under the portal\images directory – works for me.

Not only is metaPost going to save me a lot of time, the support from the developer is about the best I've ever seen!
Not once did they blame me, and they were quick to find the problem and fix it!!

The metaPost module enables offline publishing of content to DNN portal, including images and article format. It supports content upload to DNN Blog, DNN FAQ and DNN Text/HTML and Ventrian News Article modules. The image auto resize/zoom-in is very cool.
At my work place, we rely on metaPost module to keep the content on our website fresh. Combination of metaPost, Windows Live Writer/SnagIT allows us to update website content effortlessly and save us at least 50% of the time or more. This is a must have tool for us.
Support was always prompt and reliable. Give it a try. The community edition is free. Warning – the tool may transform you into addictive blogger.

I'll also note that ZLDNN now ships a metaPost provider with their DNNArticle module and a provider for the free multilingual module from PortalFabrik called Magic Content will be shipped with 1.1.13 which will be released in the next few days. And more providers and exciting features are on their way!
The products does what it promises to do and support is phenomenal and developers are passionate about what they do. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone.

Professional Edition adds significant enhancements to Community Edition. The module works pretty smooth, it has a very easy configuration and is feature rich, making blogging and publishing even more user friendly. Support from ITCrossing is nearly immediate and quite professional, even if I don't think you'll never need it. I think that this is a 'must have' module.

metaPost Community Edition 1.1.10 rules! I had this provider up and running on DNN 04.08.02 and Live Writer in a few minutes. With NO configuration on DNN, and a few configuration on WLW, I was able to publish my first post. That's awesome! Thanks to ITCrossing for this edition, it works so good that I will consider upgrading to Pro!

I have been using this module for more than a month now. I followed the tutorial from the website and was posting to my blog using Windows Live Writer with hardly any trouble. The module hasn't broken and appears to be fairly stable. Awesome job on this great product.
