A good module, but for the price I would have liked a few more features. I would have liked integrated social features, rather than having to install code from a third party. Also, I would have liked a summary option that would display an image taken automatically from the post. Not bad though, for what it does, just needs some extra options

This is the second site I've used LiveContent on and we love it. The 3.0 version is a good upgrade from the 1.x version we started on. You can tell it's more solid and they've improved lots of areas, especially performance. I recommend this product and the company highly!!!

Live Content is one of my top favorites, The module adds class to any DNN site, and is easy to install and set up. It is nice to see developers add value to DNN.

This is an an absolutely essential module. The ability to pop everthing from photos, text, video, etc is great. The eModule ability is fantastic and with certain modules we can even pull parameters. This can be very powerful! Plus the support is excellent

If every module performed as well as this, what a wonderful world it would be. The product does everything it says it does, and it does it well. I am pleased that I have been able to download several updates for free. (They weren't necessary, the product has always worked fine; but they added functionality.) .... After spending many hours on the web searching for the best solution in order to implement a video gallery on a DNN portal installation, we finally decided to go with Live Content. I needed a module that would let me launch pop-up windows of flash videos. This is the perfect solution as it not only handles flash but all sorts of other content types.
The only limitation that I've encountered is that if you want to use you own images or text url links to pop-up windows, that the live content module has to be on the same page. Now this is normally not a problem as you can set its view to admin only. But I put it on a tab module which forces the view for all modules to everyone so they see the hidden module which they should not see.
Oh well - nothing's perfect but this is close.

Live Content is one of those rare products that you get to fill a specific 'flashy gimick' for a site, but discover can do all sorts really practical tasks. I originally just purchased for its ability to pop up images, but have ended up using it to launch training and product videos, display maps, rotate artwork and banners on the home page, display software download details, etc. etc. Amazing value. Do yourself a favor and get the demo download and have a play.

This module is very useful and flexible, so it can be used for many purposes.
At first it may seem complicate as it offers tons of optons. But they have great tutorials. The support is excellent and helped with any doubt we had.
Also, a demo version was provided, so we could buy with confidence.

GREAT module and well done build without doubt a five star...
But there is one personal issue I have with the upgrade possibilty from this module... For the next release and features the price to upgrade is to high in the context from this 'extra' features while they are more upgrade issue's by the DNN upgrades...
I believe that is not so nice...to ask more money then actual needed...
Some developers and sellers here on Snowcovered never request upgrade money and then only for 'really' upgrades...
But even that a GREAT module

I tested this on a local DNN 4.9.1 test site, and all was well - it did everything I needed. However, installing on the live DNN5 site, the SlideShow and Cloud sub-modules will generate errors when attempting to configure them. "Object not set" There are many posts in their forum, dating from almost 3 weeks ago, with absolutely no response. I have also received no response from my direct queries. I find this kind of support unacceptable. Too bad, because otherwise it could be a fine product.
Update: Finally got an update and all is working now, even after an update to DNN 5.0.1. I like the module, and now it does what I need. I just hope the support doesn't take so long in the future.

A superb module that really brings a website to life. The ability to insert modules in the Live Content module window gives massive flexibility. The video playing feature is also top-notch.

Unbelievable! Mandeeps is incredible! Get this...not only did they immediatly respond to a question I had before I bought this, but the zip file I got when I bought Live Content is loaded with easy to read (got through it in about 10 min), easy to understand documentation in a couple different formats...AND!!! they included a little video converter you can use to "prep" your video files before you upload them. The future plans they talk about in the documentation for this module make me want...nay...yearn for the next release. Not a good module...the BEST module by some developers that know what great software is all about! Are you guys hiring? I would love to work with you!

I have looked at buying modules from Mandeep before and never could get excitied. But this is one great module. I am impressed with the work and creative skill that went into this module.The concept of breaking out the componets into elements is awesome and the combination of uses is amazing.This is the best I've seen from Mandeep it will be hard to surpass. Support was right there for a minor thing that is already coming out in update. Why am I writing this review because I have spent Thousands of dollars on modules just ask snowcovered. And even more on web development using DNN. You can bet if I take the time to write something it better be one hell of a module.

I have purchased quite a few modules for various sites and I have to admit this is one of the best. Within five minutes of watching the online demos/instructions I was able to add e-videos to my site. If anything I am going to have to make sure not to over use this module (you know how it is when somebody discovers they can have 20 fonts on a page) Two thumbs up! This module will improve any site.

I am only just beginning to scratch the surface of the functionality of this module but wanted to recommend it to all. It's a lot of power for not a lot of outlay! I'm already seeing the improvements to the design and usability of my site after only a few key changes.

This thing is worth every cent. It allowed me to add a lot of videos to my site in a short amount of time and the way in which they are implemented with the "in-page" popups looks nothing short of professional. I am currently using this on a page buried in my site but am now planning to redesign my homepage with the use of the content module. I can see it will be great for adding a large amount that the user can see quickly and easily and then link them through to my product pages. Support is second to none as well. I had a question about how to change certain styles and I had my answer within a couple of hours. It's the best thing I've bought for DNN (and I've bought alot).

A really nice, quality offering from Mandeeps providing a whole host of useful applications. I think this will probably end up being one of those "must have" modules because of its power and flexibility, adding a stylish touch to any DNN website. Support is excellent too. A suggestion I made was implemented (via CSS) within a couple of days, again showing just how flexible it is.
It's a great module as it stands but, as it evolves, this has a good chance of setting the standard for DNN content presentation.

Excellent module- there are a lot of options for 'tabs' around these days, Mandeeps is the most attractive.
Not only that, when I discovered I read the licensing terms wrong and needed tabs for more than one domain, they responded on a Sunday and had the issue resolved the next morning, generously offering extra licenses due to our circumstances.
This is how DNN module developers succeed and grow! :)

This is a great Tabs Module - Works as advertised with plenty of custom tabs to fit your look roll your own theme if you wish. If you are cramped for space or like the idea of tabbed content - this is it.

As of this writing, this is the best AJAX tabs module on the market. It features an intuitive interface and is easy to use. The design elements are also the best on the market today. Like me, if you also have need of an accordion module, you can purchase both Live Tabs and Live Accordion and they both come with the same matching interface templates and this makes for a nice added benefit. You can also place modules into tabs and still access the module dropdown menus. Some competing solutions don’t do this and as a result you have to put the modules on a separate hidden page and this makes content management all the more time-consuming. I have experience some issues on my server with the technical architecture behind this module but I didn't have enough space here to post the details. Live Tabs is doing a great job for us. Before buying Mandeep's module, I thoroughly evaluated most if not all of the tab modules sold on Snowcovered and I found Live Tabs to be the best both functionally and the best User Interface as well. I have purchased several of Mandeep's modules and have found them to be solid, reliable modules and when I did need help, Mandeep replies in a timely manner. These are "Professional" grade modules and I recommend them highly!

I purchased this module based on the quality of work I experienced in another module from this vendor. Live Tabs is easy to set up, easy to use, and does exactly what it says it will do. Template selection is varied enough for most small business needs - though I would always like to see more options. Support from this vendor has been excellent!

We were looking for a module that worked in a certain fashion and Live Accordion was exactly what we needed. It works great and as usual we found that thoughtful layout of administrative windows made the process very simple. Not only is this important to us, it's especially important when we turn the site over to our clients. They will be able to add content with minimal support from us.
Also, I ran into an activation problem (mine, not his). A few emails and it was all cleared up. Great module and great support.

Excellent Module! Very flexible. Full of features. Great admin section and it is highly customisable. You can even place other modules within it. As well as a sweet online theme creator that takes alot of the CSS work out. See it on action on the site I am developing.

I feel I am the Mandeeps No 1 Fan. Since I purchased this module I think I have used some part of it on every site I have developed and it raises the bar and generates modules that end users can maintain and update easily, being able to deliver great visual content and also extend DNN. Mandeeps Essentials is the REAL DEAL- They put me in the DNN CMS business in two weeks flat!
Installation was a breeze, and, with their modules, their videos, and a little help from their accurate & responsive help desk, I was able to quickly and painlessly throw together the site I envisioned.
The module settings interface is highly intuitive, making modules a breeze to add and configure. With a few caveats, every one I have used has worked as advertised.
It has only been a month and I already see upgrades available on many of their modules- doesn't look like they are sitting back on their laurels- this is no fly by night outfit.
The Essentials are essential if you want to great looking SEO friendly site up and running quickly!

I was a little disappointed with this module, and maybe it is because my expectations were incorrect. Overall, it has a lot of great features and is easy to use, but I was hoping for more customization. The blog module automatically expands wider than the sites I needed to install it on, and there is no simple way to resize the interface to fit in my site skins. One size does not fit all with my client sites, and I purchased this to be used on several sites with different sizes. I hoped the social interaction was built into this module, but you need to add code from places like addthis.com and it did not format as I had hoped. The larger icons bumped to a new line for no apparent reason, and did not look right in the interface, so I am using icons much smaller than I would like. I would like a way to display only a portion of my post rather than (A) all at one (B) text only or (C) a description (which must be written separately than the post content). I was hoping this would be my final solution for several clients, but it has not worked out to be as versatile as I had hoped. If at least the size issue is addressed I would give it another star. Good start. I am looking forward to an upgrade on this one.

Joseph, there are several themes both with fixed and fluid layouts so it can accommodate any skin layout. Also, themes are included with no widgets so you can use the Live Blog Widget module to create your own customized layout. This provides complete flexibility.
If we built in the social networking icons then it would be limited to handful of services such as twitter and facebook. Very complicated and difficult to work with. The effects are nice if you can get it to work and figure it out, but the lack of documentation and clumbsy process of use make it very tricky!
Wish I could say more about this one...I had such high hopes!

module is excellent in concept but their speed of implementation of issues brought to their attention is rather slow.
I had emailed them back in early 2008 and than again near the end of 2008 concerning the issue of their evideo not being able to connect to videos you may have stored via an rtmp protocol opposed to an http and back in March of 2008 they were getting irritated with my support emails concerning this issue promising watermarks and rtmp support to be implemented in their 2.0 version.
Later I reasked them about this in October of that same year and got a response telling me that "RTMP is supported; however, to be sure could you provide a link to one of your media so we can do a test for you? Thanks"
Well I did just that gave them a link to my media on the rtmp server and weather they tested it or not I don't know but what I do know is I tested it as well again and found it not to work.

This module is junk and their support is terrible. I was under the gun and needed it for a project. They refused to give me an evaluation, so I bought the module on good faith. When I tried to play a video, the browser would just time out. After the usual bout of trying to blame us for everything, they said they would come up with a fix. After seeing no response and requesting a refund, they refused. I guess that's a lesson learned about trusting some of these rinky-dink developers!

Add more kick to the boring Text/HTML modules. Delivers nice control over small pop ups through templates with groups. Has many applications - poup images, popup other modules, popup simple text. The popups are customizable as well with shadows, and titles etc. One may get carried away with all the fearures and special effects but best of all this is coming from Mandeeps so you can count of great support and added features. Recommended for your DNN Toolkit.

This module enhances the DNN text/html module with these really cool "tool tip" like information boxes. When you want this tips just build your html inside of Mandeep’s module (it has the DNN text/html core module built in) and then you can add your tool tips.

I purchased this module after having much frustration in trying to find a good commercial quality photo gallery. To date, this is the best DNN photo gallery I have worked with. Easy to set up, easy to use, and does exactly what it says it will do. Live Gallery offers professional layout and styles… plus many customization options. Overall, this module is nicely laid out and well done. Support from this vendor has been excellent!

Excellent product works like a charm. The how to directions were not great. But the developer was quick to answer a question and fast to resolve any questions we had. Fantastic module for any site wanting to disable right click to protect content. Very easy to use once you know how. If he adds a more detailed .pdf how to file with some pictures it would be a home run!

This module has a good level of granularity -- it can block right-clicking on the whole page, images, and/or text. The documentation is good. I was pleased to find that it works well with the Mandeeps Live Content module, which I pretty much expected since this module is also a Mandeeps product. So, as a module that works as advertised right out of the "box," and that has good documentation, it give it my very rare highest rating.

Installed module and couldn't get it to work properly. Wasn't able to add any photos to it.

It works great and look cool. Ajax enabled feature is really good. The only complaint i have is the price. I felt 35 bucks is a bit high for tabs.Also sometimes the tabs diplay wrong url( it happens rarely but once i fixed it i never got any problem).
Goodluck guyz and hope to see many gadgets from you but pls keep ur pricing a bit low so that many can benifit.

This module is perfect for adding a fast easy-to-use storefront to DNN. Add multiple instances according to secured roles. It took about 5 minutes to install the first module... less for the rest...

This tool is very usefull and cost effective in case you don't know how custom modules development works. But if you know how to create custom modules you can download the FREE JavaScript library from http://www.lokeshdhakar.com/projects/lightbox2/.

I really love this module. I had a little trouble figuring out how to change the text on the tabs at first, but the vendor explained how it's done and I finally got it, and it really isn't that complicated, so I'm upgrading my review to 5 stars. It was no trouble at all to change the graphic on my tab modules to match my color scheme. I think this module really enhances our web pages alot and was a good purchase.

Known bug reported on 11/7/2007 that renders the rich text editor unusable. Promised fix to be delivered "approximately 2 weeks" from 12/6/2007 not yet released. Tech support failed to answer 1/8/2008 interogative:-( Appears to work okay on version 4.5.5 and 4.8 (above problem discovered on version 4.6.2

The module itself is actually fine but I only gave it three stars because Google Checkout is pretty poor in my experience. The support is better than average but not great but their Terms of Service are horrible. After setting everything up and having my roomies pay me their rent for living at my house...my account was banned. Google considers that a "travel package" or something. Anyway, off to Pay Pal.

This modules works great. It would be perfect if we had the ability to specify on which module the ToolTip Should appear. Right now tooltips are available site wide. We want to use MTT for creating a context sensitive help system, so we would like to not have to load the information for the tips that are outside the context.

Wow. I was ready to leave webhost4life because the compile time for my DNN website(s) were unacceptably slow. In some cases, it would take up to 3 minutes to load. Really. After installing the YAKA app on my local desktop, I immediately noticed a difference. I purposely let the YAKA work for about an hour, checked my email for the tracking to make sure the sites were in fact getting hit, and then I logged into a VPN'd terminal server away from my local Internet proxy to hit my site on a browser that has never accessed my sites. The end result was that the DNN site literally "popped" up. Took maybe 3 seconds. That is WELL worth the money. I purchased the "5 site" license. I may upgrade to the 20 site one later, but this will do for now. THANKS MANDEEP. A sample link that is affected by MANDEEP's YAKA app is provided below. Check it out for yourself!

Can't get DNN modules (except Text/HTML) to display with Ajax enabled. Using an IFrame in tab is not very elegant to display an interactive module like a forum.
Seems this is most useful for displaying static text or an image from an existing module, or some external page. Just not what I was looking for.

This product was perfect - installs w/o issues - and works great - just what DNN needs for professional protected content to be viewed FAST! Seamless - and don't worry about new windows open up all over when users click video links! GREAT - tech support was FAST answered all my dumb questions!

This "fine print" could have saved me $34.99, had it of been printed:
"CSS Tabs is xhtml based (standards) and may not render correctly on all DNN sites (since not all DNN skins are standardized); this is primarily due to the fact that tabs are CSS driven which can conflict with existing CSS on the skin/page/site..."
No refund, just a request to be given FTP rights and more down time every single time you want to use the module. I should have listened to others and went to DNNStuff first.
After escalating the refund request and hearing nothing from Mandeep about honoring the return policy after 2 weeks of submitting the request, I, did, in fact, close the ticket, which does not prevent the developer from refunding my money. I am forced to write this $35 off to lessons learned.

Biggest waste of $1.99 ever. You have to play with the code to change the message. It's much easier to just Google the 5 lines of JS needed and you can change the message on the fly. In this case, the old adage doesn't hold - you don't get what you pay for. I uninstalled this module and use a text/html module and pasted the 5 lines of code with my own custom message. I suggest you do the same.

We have been using the CSS Tabs module since the first version and it is excellent! Not only does the module create a small footprint into which you can pack a huge amount of information, but the new features in version 2.0 give it an amazing amount of flexibility. We are using the module on several websites and we've found a variety of ways to take advantage of the features. Also, because CSS drives the look-and-feel of the module, we have been able to customize the tabs and content to our liking.
On a final note, support of the module by Mandeep Singh has been tremendous. We have made requests and suggestions for the module and he has been very receptive to our ideas. Any time we've had questions, he has always been very quick to respond and help us out. This is a great module by a 'class act' developer.

This is probably one of the coolest complimentary modules out there. It sits in the 'background' on the page and adds a whole new meaning to clicking on a thumbnail image for a larger picture. You can group pictures together and even add information to accompany the photos. It provides a dynamic element to an otherwise plain web page. Thumbs up for this module. The reflection effect is also a cool feature to "punch up" images on your site. Highly recommended!

Nice lightbox and reflection effects. I wish it came with a simple photo album.

Google Checkout v1.2 worked great for me on a few sites, hosted by a number of companies. As of 1/13/2007, GoDaddy.com changed the way DotNetNuke is installed for Windows Shared Hosting customers. Google Checkout v1.2 did not work for me in this situation. All other situations, it was truly a great little product and addition to my DNN site.
Mandeep's customer service is excellent! He was very responsive to my questions and was very knowledgeable.

A very good module, easy to configure and style. Useful behaviour is that target content is not moved. I had an access rights problem and got a reponse on a Sunday from Mandeep who had a patch in ready in 24 hrs and then a new version the following day. I think CSS Tabs is a good solution for many cont display problems.
