This tool was a real time saver.

I have been using BulkUser Import/Export since upgrading from DNN3 to DNN4, and cannot say enough about this program. I have a multi-portal site with varying degrees of complexity and number of users, and just successful upgraded from DNN 4.9.1 to 5.0.0. I did so, though, by exporting the content of each site then used this tool to export and import the registered users and roles w/o a hitch. So I can confirm it works with DNN 5, and has always been very reliable. My client/user account info is too important, and this product so reasonably priced, that I would not do w/o it and recommend that you take a look too!

Nicely done! I've used this for a couple projects, importing TONS of users. Thanks to the preview option things went better than I had expected.

Great Module to export and import many Users

I'm giving this module a low score for 3 reasons:
The user interface is not intuitive - I could not figure out how to perform tasks that were claimed possible, and the error log results were hard to intrepret. I was hesitent to actually run it, because I didn't know what it was going to do.
The documentation is poor - it tries to cover every version the developer has put out.
Support is very poor - the developer took days to reply to my support issues, and when a reply was received, the answers were short and not detailed, and not all questions were answered - I felt like I was bothering him. I can't say if this module really works - I bought another product in frustration, received the expected level of support, and had my users imported in a few hours. I would persue a refund, but it is not worth my time.

The Bulk User Import works well for most imports of NEW users. However, I am giving it a low score because it has a bug the removes the usefulness of a great deal of functionality: when trying to bulk update the information for users, the program automatically changes the passwords for any user you update. THERE IS NO WAY TO PREVENT THIS.
For example, if I need to change the email address for a bunch of users - I can't, because Bulk User Import will change all their passwords. I have contacted the developer about this and their response was "We will consider adding that functionality" Functionality? It's a BUG, not a feature.
So if you want to import NEW users, buy this module. If you plan on using it to update users, skip it.

This is an excellent import and export utility.
I use it to import our Human Resources People Records into the portal and maintain the information that is managed by the other system. This means only one place to update contact info and not both the HR system and Portal. IT WORKS.

Great! Moved users from DNN3 on one server to DNN4.3.4 on a different server. Worked perfectly. I appreciated his suggestions to make sure passwords were at least 7 characters for new password format in DNN4.

Very good support.

Thank you for this review. We are happy that BulkReg worked for you.
Did exactly what I needed it to do - upload 3,350 user accounts at once. I'd recommend for anyone setting up a new site with an existing list of users.

This worked EXCELLENT! I was upgrading from DNN 3.x to 4.x and had a ton of users on multiple portals. All I needed to do was change the portal alias and I could transfer all my users over via exporting and importing. Very quick and easy and worth every penny!

While the software wasn't perfect it certainly did the job for which I purchased it for - importing over 10,000 users. I would recommend this as an inexpensive piece of software to meet a specific purpose.

Software works great! Within minutes I was bulk loading users from a legacy system to my new DNN system. I can even load them one at a time using the csv file format. This is a must for anyone working a new project with a large number of users. Excellent!

I'm not sure where the others are coming from but this product was so intuitive I had no need to contact the developer. Great approach and Easy to use at a Fantastic price. Definitely one of my better purchases.

Decent software. Works exacly as it states. You just need to follow the syntax clearly shown in the instruction sheet.
I've uploaded approximately 1300 Users into a DNN 3.1 site using BulkReg 3.5 and it worked very fast. Even created a role I had missed.
I've bought the upgrade to 3.6 and will try it out on a DNN 3.2 site.

Horrible module it crashed my portals in three different environments. This developer may make good products at times. But this one really missed the boat.

This module does not work, and even if though I posted a failure notice all I got back was "We are working on it" and that is like 14 days ago. So my advice is: Do not buy this module.

Absolutely awsome utility for someone trying to import and manage accounts from another database. One quick export from my game server database in xml format and I have a complete update to my site accounts using this module.

Very flexible implentation. Developer is very responsive to feedback; a little slower on the implementation of feature requests, though.
Some missing features that would make it much more useful are: 1. browse for a text file to upload instead of relying on cut-n-paste, 2. allow specification of timezone, country and language for each user line item with the default values select as they currently are for unspecified values, 3. XML format instead of semicolon/comma-delimited, 4. include the other user data fields that are missing: website, IM ID, region, cell #, fax #, 4. allow users to be created as unauthorized and 5. allow security roles to be assigned an expiry date.
