FAQs

FAQ's

  • Q: can I build a vertical menu with this module that will display the page icon, similar to old dnn admin menu flyout ... icon plus page name

A: Yes, you can. If the page has a page icon in it's settings and you enable showing page icon in the menu settings then it will be shown on left side of the page name.

  • Q: Can I have horizontal main navigation plus an independent sub-menu tree-like style?

A: Not using TheDNN.Menu but if you combine this with TheDNN.SlideMenu as well then it will work. For the horizontal menu you will use Menu module and you only let the root tabs to be shown and for the slider (it doesn't work like tree but more like outlook) you can use SlideMenu module.

  • Q: can i show only those subtabs under one higher level tab?

A: Yes. Using the Wizard you can show/hide any tab that you want.

  • Q: Hi, I have downloaded the trial to test locally and when I did that I saw different selections based on version of DNN I am running. I need the version that works on 4.5 or higher but I don't see the selections when buying. Will what I buy here work on DNN 4.5 and higher? I just want to make sure I buy a version that works the same as the trial.

A: Thanks for your question. Our module will be installed on 4.5 as well but due to instability of 4.5 we can just give support from 4.5.3+. However, if the trial worked fine for you there are no more packages here. All you buy here is a license which converts the trial to a full version.

  • Q: Is it posssible to create categorized multi menus such as the new menu on www.dotnetnuke.com?

A: Yes. You can have separators placed between items and you can define your own style for that. For this you need to have the Professional version and then convert a temp page to a separator using ItemSettgins http://tinypic.com/r/1h8nwk/7 However, the multi-column feature is not supported yet.
