  • Q: Is the Caliper skin 100% compatible with dnn 5.6.x and with the core Localization system?

    A: We have done a lot of testing with 5.6.x and believe that skin works as we have intended. We did NOT include the language switcher skin object in the skin, however, and as I think about it now, this may have been a mistake. As part of our consulting practice, we have built several multi-lingual sites using the same skin techniques as we are incorporating into Caliper. However, in these cases, we have relied on 3rd party modules to allow for localization of content and page attributes (page names, page titles, etc.). When you ask about "core localization system" can you be more specific about what aspects of the site you hope to localize? Are you concerned about multilingual content or page names, or just the localization of administrative labels (which our mega admin module does support).

Product License

All PackFlash products are available in two differently licensed editions. The licensing model is based on domain names, NOT on DNN installations or portals. The standard edition allows for a single production domain, and unlimited development domains. The enterprise edition allows for an unlimited number of domains and installations that are owned and controlled by the purchasing organization. The enterprise license is not transferable and is NOT appropriate for developers who wish to distribute the software to multiple clients.
