good tab module
useful fallback for all sorts of sites
good base skin
does the job without fuss
Works well but is a bit complicated to set up and understand.
very good and fuss free side menu
really useful for all sorts of jobs
Good module. Works well.
Great module. But now surpassed by Xmod Pro which is awesome!
Does the job without fuss.
One of the best modules on the market. Support is good and the guys are very responsive to suggestions and fix bugs quickly. Use it all the time.
Very useful until I realised how easy it was to install a control without it. Useful though if you have no idea about DNN and want to quickly add some controls from another project.
Really useful module. Does the job, no trouble.
I opted for ASPDotNetStoreFront as part of a PowerDNN hosting package, however, after a week of struggles I couldn't even get a working copy of ASPDNSF. It just blew my DNN instance every time I tried to run the admin.
PowerDNN had not tested what they were selling. It was a nightmare. After a week I still had no store software to work with.
I was informed later that the problem was fixed in the new version even though ASPDNSF refused to admit there was actually a bug.
So, in desperation, I turned to Catalook. And firstly, it worked! And secondly it worked really well!
The only real problem I have had is that I still can't get the AJAX functionality to work. There is something about the PowerDNN setup. Perhaps the latest web server version. But Catalook support could not find the answer and could not replicate it. So, I still have to put up with page refreshes for each dropdown which is a pain.
This software is immensely featured but I can't help but feel it needs a c
This is a very good module that works well. It saved my bacon and enabled me to escape dependency on some flash guru and .swf files which are such a pain to modify.
In two hours I've created two nice rotating flash image panels that would have taken days in Flash.
My only negative is that there are other modules at the same price that offer a lot more. The Dignuke rotator is one. But I bought this one because it was simple and did only what I required. At these prices I'll have both!
I just upgraded. I've been using version 4 for ages and decided I'd like the new skins that come with ver 5.
It's a great module. Just works and does the job. Great value.
This is a great little tool. It's a shame something like this isn't built into the core DNN and configurable to host.
I think it's a little misleading to call this a module. I expected something I would have to add to each page within DNN. But this is something to be installed once for the whole DNN instance. And for that reason it's quick and easy and I would say install and forget. Within minutes I had keywording sorted for all pages across ten domains!
(400 plus pages!)
(imagine trying to add an instance of a module to each page on your site)
Also this should work on most ASP.NET applications other than DNN.
It's working nicely and I can see the keywords have been sorted for each page.
This should really help SEO and save a lot of time.
This is a great module and I bought it immediately I saw it listed. It's simple and elegant.
I had a small problem with it on my portal and Joshua fixed it and sent me a new version immediately. Great support!
I hope others will support this product. It's the first version and I hope Josh will be expanding and enhancing it constantly.
I'd like to see a lot more options for controlling the galleries. I want to be able to show a particular set or provide a set based on tags. Hopefully Josh will deliver these features in future versions.
I urge you to buy it if you want to work against a library of Flickr images. The more buyers the more likely we are to see all the features we want. It's great value for money.
This is a good product and the author is very helpful.
I've written a couple of 'nukelets' is ASP.NET that give you an idea of what you can do with this module. Check them out at:
Developing with Nukelet takes a bit of getting used to and there is much to learn since I am new to ASP.NET but for simple tasks it's a lot quicker than building a module. I've yet to get to grips with page navigation and using third party assemblies such as flickrNet DLL and Crystal Reports but they are on the list.
Excellent value for money.
My only concern is that there is a noticeable time lag loading a page with a Nukelet on it. But there may be a way to optimise that I'm not aware of.
It's early days for Nukelet but I expect it to grow.
This is a great module but I do have one small gripe.
The pitch regarding Flickr integration is misleading.
"Subscribe your albums directly to a Flickr rss feed, build professional galleries without uploading anything"
I feel this is misleading. With RSS you are severely limited to batches of the latest images in a Flickr stream. I think it's limted to 10. Also the images come back small and cannot be downloaded. Clicking on the image sends you to Flickr. Therefore I would not buy this module in the belief that you can build 'professional' galleries against Flickr. You will be disappointed.
If you want to do this then you need to start coding with the Flickr API. The FlickrNET API wrapper is the best bet.
I sent Bizmodules an email regarding this issue but have not heard back.
If you're reading Bizmodules. How about making your Flickr 'SUBSCRIPTION' module really a Flickr Subscription module? i.e. one that can be authenticated to read/write Flickr images. Alternatively rename it a 'Flickr RSS Feed gallery'
I would be interested in any DNN module that can work with the Flickr API.
